Sandy beach in Saba

Actually, there is one beautiful sandy beach on Saba. Located on Well’s Bay this beach is a stunning stripe of golden sand, fringed by a high and impressive rock wall. It can be accessed by car. Problem is, due to climatic conditions, the beach sometimes disappears for a while. But when it is not flooded, the beach is everything you can dream of if you are the Robinson Crusoe type: Nearly empty, no facilities, just pure tropical nature.

Cove Bay on Saba

Another nice place to swim is at Cove Bay and Flat Point under the airport. Just follow the road to the airport to the bottom. Cove Bay has just become the first permanent sandy beach on the island. The sand was shipped over from St. Martin! And the bay itself is just beautiful. There is a kind of flat natural pool, separated from the ocean by a natural barrage of rocks. You can take a chair and sit in it while reading a book or admiring the stunning views. If you want to swim or snorkel, there are ways over the rock to get into the emerald sea of the bay.
