Imbali Center for Dance and Creative Movement, directed by famous dancer Clara Reyes, recently celebrated its 15th anniversary at Philipsburg's Cultural and Community Centre.
On stage, Clara Reyes herself, her corps de ballet and many guest performers, all being famous figures in St. Maarten's world of dance, movement and music. The spectacular show is a brilliant example of the high level in art and culture on our island. |

"I can walk on water, and I even can fly", says a pregnant dancer, while performing a stunningly graceful choreography. And she really does so in her mind, transmitting to us the happiness of a mother soon to be.
And this is the secret of Imbali and her founder, Clara Reyes: It is all about spirituality, expressed and transmitted through the movements of the body.

Clara Reyes holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dance and Choreography and performed, studied and teached in the USA, Cuba, Africa and Jamaica.
Imbali is located at John Larmonie Centre in Philipsburg. Classes are scheduled from Monday to Saturday, given by Clara Reyes herself, Rudolph Davis, Cathy Lu, Peggie Oulerich, Julien Seguret, Aparna Samaga, Lena Browne, Tzu-Chi Buddhist Relief org., Ada Eolia. Viviane and Albina. |

The following disciplines are teached at Imbali:
- Ballet (Different groups of ages, starting at 3 years old)
- Modern contemporary dance, Horton technique
- African dance, Capoeira, Creative dance, Baratanatyam, Creole (African and Caribbean dance)
- Story-time/musical theatre, Hip-hop,, Acrobatics, Zumba
- Flamenco
- Clown classes
as well as the following visual and performing arts training programs:
- Arts and crafts, Voice classes,Dramatic reading, Drumming
