February, every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
Arts in the Plaza is back with a new style of shows, repeating every week during this winter.Location is Porto Cupecoy.On Monday evening, come over for a great French movie - with English subtitles. On Wednesday, listen to talented musicians from all over the world. And on Saturday, it's time for the Farmer's Market, with fresh products from the island. Whole month until 22th: Carnival events on the French side
Carnival season started Sunday, January 8th on the French side, with a parade and Jump up in French Quarter. Highlights of this carnival period will be the big parade on February 19th, repeated on February 20th. Carnival finishes with a parade on Ash Wednesday (February 22th). Please check local media for all planed events. Expect lots of music, concerts, children's parade, Miss Carnival election and much more. |

February 3th to 5th: Agriculture Fair on French side
Like every year, the association "We agree with culture, promoting agriculture on the island, organizes its fair in Bellevue. Enjoy a day in the open, with reggae music, local arts and crafts, and sales of the various plants, fruits and vegetables the farm produces. |

February 16th: Classical Delight Concert: Piano Trio
Classical Delight offers us again a great concert, this time a piano trio with three accomplished artists: Magali Le Gouais, Gerard Kantarjian and Carole Bayly will interpret music by Schubert, Mozart, Saint Saens, Chopin, Dvorak and more. Venue is at Belair Community Center - opposite the hospital - on Dutch St. Maarten, at 8 p.m. Tickets are 25 $ for adults and 10 $ for students with student card. For sale at " La Vista Resort, Belair Community Center, 5F Kitchens & More, The Daily Herald, Shipwreck Shop Front Street, Van Dorp." Also on the same evening before the concert. |

Thursdays on the Marina Royale (every week until March22) in Marigot
The Thursdays on the Marina Royale in Marigot start again on the 2nd of February: From of 5.30 p.m., business people in Marigot and the French tourism office propose a fun evening, with a different theme every week. Shops will stay open late, there are fashion shows, musical animation with life bands and local arts and crafts for sale. Have a nice evening with the beautiful view of the marina and enjoy one of its great French and international restaurants and bars! |

February 12th: Art in the Park (Emilio Wilson Park).
Once again, the annual arts and crafts festivals in Dutch St. Maarten will open its doors for a great day of entertainment in the natural surroundings of Emilio Wilson Park. Lots of local artists will show their creations: paintings, wood carvings, clothing, jewellery, bags and much more are offered for sale, while the live music will be provided by the Rhythm Boys. Local food and drinks are available too. The events will raise funds - a 1 USD entrance fee - for the upkeep of the park and the promotion of local culture. Not much money thus to spend a great day with family and children! |

25th and 26th of February: Arrow Root Jollification
Like every year, the traditional Arrow Root Jollification is organized by the Nature Valley Foundation of Colombier on the French side of St. Martin. This feast is an opportunity to learn more about the Caribbean culture. Among other things, it shows the importance of arrow root in the local culture. Furthermore, you will be given the opportunity to taste typical Caribbean food, especially soups and juices, while there will be musical animation by the group New Generation of St. Maarten. Venue from 7.00 a.m. to end of day on Saturday, and starting at 11.00 a.m. on Sunday. |

27th of February:Opening exhibition of Francis Eck at Sheer Gallery
In the frame of its Winter Art Exhibitions, the Sheer Gallery presents a fine collection of paintings by celebrated St. Martin artist Francis Eck. Eck has received many distinctions all over the world and has shown his art in Europe, Japan, The USA, China and all over the Caribbean. Come and discover Francis Eck at Sheer Art Gallery. Opened daily from 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. and from 5.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. Closed on Sundays. |

March 1st: Heineken Regatta
Like every year, sailors and the public can enjoy the traditionnal St. Martin Heineken Regatta. This year, it takes place from the 1st to the 4th of March. Expect good sailing and lots of party nights. For more information, please check out the local media with details about the regatta venues. |
