Saba Fort Bay

Around half of Saba's population is from Dutch, Scottish, English and Irish descent. Other inhabitants come from surrounding Caribbean island or even South- and Central America, especially Colombia. It seems that all brought the best of their heritage to Saba: Especially the talent to work and organize life under sometimes difficult conditions, considering the local topography. Sabans can live without the newest car, without huge supermarkets or shopping malls. They take advantage of what their nature gives them, and for everything else... well, they patiently wait for the ferry to bring it over from St. Martin.
